www.cellardoorscore.com was lucky enough to visit @bodegasfundador, with it’s origins dating back to 1730, there is such amazing history in the barrel room, including the first Fundador barrel signed by King Alfonso XIII. There are also hundreds of barrels signed by visiting royals, world leaders, celebrities, etc and while our offer to sign a barrel was respectfully declined (🤣🤣) it was such a great experience to take a step back in time and wander through this cellar with it’s ancestral columns, enologic relics and amazing aromas that you can only find in places like this.
A fantastic tour, which includes a look at their traditional sherry making processes, a wander through their museum and ends with a tasting of their sherry and brandy, which you can taste in a variety of ways, including in some fantastic cocktails that offer a great fresh approach to drinking sherry! 😀🍷
