If you’ve ever been to a winery and not wanted to leave, then @mitcheltonwines has you covered!
With a major redevelopment completed earlier this year, not only can you visit their amazing cellar door and taste over 20 of their wines, go for a tour through their underground cellars, observe the surrounds from their iconic tower, visit the chocolate shop or wander through their Aboriginal art gallery, but you can now stay in their new hotel complete with pool and day spa! Oh, and if your peckish, their restaurant does a fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner too (it would have been wrong not to try them all).
Safe to say there is something here for everyone, reaffirming our “2 door” rating . Thanks to Jude for showing us around and taking us through their range of wines (the Shiraz/Mourvèdre/Grenache and Marianne/Rousanne/Viognier blends being a couple of favourites), and if your looking for a winery based escape, this is definitely a fantastic option 😀🍷🍇
