No wait, and we were sharing the tasting with several other small groups
OK, however the cellar door staff member didn't really give much description of the wines, but he was trying to manage 4 of 5 groups of people as well as help the ladies in the café. Would have benefited from more staff.
Friendly, fairly casual and happy but a little distracted

Very casual café with standard fare (e.g. we had a lamb pie and a baguette). We suggest booking as this is really the only dining option in the area, other than cheese platters at other cellar doors.

Whilst the cellar door staff member did keep the tasting moving along for all groups, he did so at the expense of providing insights about the wine. We were also really disappointed at the substantial mark up of the price of wine at the cellar door compared to National Retailers. We are very much for supporting the cellar doors by purchasing directly and understand that prices are generally no cheaper (if not a little more) than some national retailers, but a 25% premium in some instances here seemed a bit excessive.
