We loved this experience. We arrived a little early and although it was around 2:30pm the team were more than happy to pull together some lunch for us while we waited; a beautiful platter of cured meats, cheeses and bread. Then the cellar door attendant came and poured us a glass of 1979 Vintage Chianti Classico Riserva as a welcome gift. We took the tour of the Castello which was very informative, with so much history and winemaking technique to learn about. We then went back to the cellar door for our tasting. This was our first European winery tour of the trip and it was truly memorable. We were also given a complimentary bottle opener due to the number of bottles purchased. This winery is very geared towards tourism and they do it extremely well.
