Valpolicella

Valpolicella is home of Amarone, a really strong almost jammy wine made from grapes dried in racks for 4 months at the wineries.  Also made in the region is Ripasso, which is made as by product of the Amarone but provides a product that is less alcoholic and jammy than the Amorone.  We quite enjoyed the Ripasso's of the region.
