To "Cellarbrate": Friendly and knowledgeable team, good range of wines on tasting, housed within a lovely restaurant To "Wine about": Not necessarily a negative, but something to be aware of, is that this cellar door is located in Red Hill Village and therefore obviously has more of an urban feel rather than a more traditional vineyard/winery feel or outlook How many bottles did we buy: 1 Suitable for: Couples, small groups, families Visited July 2017 (weekday) |

The cellar door is located within "The Long Table" restaurant in Red Hill South, with access off the main road. We understand there is another Quealy cellar door located at the winery, but we did not visit on this occasion

The restaurant/cellar door is located in Red Hill Village where there is a lot of parking, but we noted it did get quite busy from mid morning until mid afternoon
The restaurant is in a small shopping village surrounded by lawns and native trees. There are some outside tables at the front o the restaurant, with a number of nearby boutiques and cafes in the Village

The restaurant and cellar door has a 'French Provincial' feel with lots of wooden accents and slate look floors. Whilst the cellar door is part of a restaurant, the tasting area is set between two of the dining areas, giving it its own space and we did not feel that our tasting experience was any less important than the dining experience

No wait, but we were the only ones tasting at the time
Great knowledge of the wines and the taste profiles along with some history of the family
Friendly, welcoming and confident. The cellar door representative was happy to have a chat about the stories behind the wine and wineries and was also able to make some good recommendations for other activities for our weekend

This cellar door/restaurant has a great feel to it and we really enjoyed both of our dining experiences here.
