To "Cellarbrate": Really pretty little corner of Rutherglen & a great picnic spot. Friendly, fun cellar door team with some interesting wines to try. Caters to a wide variety of consumers and very child and pet friendly. This old historic cellar door is situated amongst beautiful old trees on the banks of Sunday Creek. We were immediately drawn to wander through the very nice picnic area and down to the spectacular bridge over the creek. You can look down into the water and see the tortoises/turtles swimming about with the carp. There are plenty of secluded areas to have a picnic

We had two staff look after us but it was a busy time in the winery with deliveries prior to Christmas and a lot of other staff were wandering through the tasting room. All were really friendly. The cellar door assistants gave us some great ideas for different ways to drink fortified wines

Yes, colouring table, little containers of food available for kids to feed the turtles (must be accompanied by an adult), stickers and they even offer cordial tastings if the kids want to join in the tasting experience!

This cellar door is great. The setting is rustic, but very picturesque and the old bridge and numerous turtles are a real highlight You can also see the team is thinking outside the box by working on ways to make what have always seemed very old fashioned products (muscats, tokays and sherry) more relevant to today's consumer. There are also a number of events in the region that Pfeiffer participates in, including a Scarecrow weekend
