The Verdict
To "Cellarbrate": Amazing outlook with extensive gift shop and a nice food offering To "Wine about": During the week the cellar door is effectively the ordering counter for the café and while we waited until after the lunch run to do our tasting, the café definitely took priority, leading to the tasting experience being a little limited. We understand there is an alternative cellar door space, separate from the café, used on weekends which would likely give a more interactive experience How many bottles did we buy: 2 Suitable for: Couples, families, overseas visitors and groups. There is ample gravel parking, even with the restaurant and cafe on site
There are two locations for the cellar door, we had our tasting in the cafe but we understand that the Shed in the carpark is opened as the cellar door on weekends and to accommodate large groups. The cafe tasting bench is also where the food orders are taken. The cafe looks out over manicured lawns and views over Port Phillip Bay towards the You Yangs mountain range. Quite spectacular!
Boutique
The tasting room /café is modern with polished concrete floors and huge cantilevered windows that are opened on nice days. The room looks over the cafe seating to Port Phillip Bay

Friendly and efficient, but a little distracted with café related tasks

No, but most kids just love running around outside and rolling down the grass hill in front of the cafe, which we certainly witnessed during our visit!
No
The cellar door is part of a very busy café during the week. If you want to have a little more space and interaction around the wines, a visit on the weekend may be more appropriate where a separate space is used
