South Australia

Arguably considered the premier wine state of Australia, South Australia is home to the world heavy weights of Penfolds Grange Hermitage and Henschke Hill of Grace.  There are a number of wine regions within an hour or so drive of the capital city of Adelaide and the cellar doors in the state range from the large commercial operations of Wolf Blass and Penfolds to some very small boutique producers.
