There are a number of carparks at the front of the cellar door and even more just up the hill a bit further
The cellar door is a mixture of old and new with the cornerstone of the design a very old bluestone building that is now the private tasting room, which is connected to a very modern building with straight lines. The architecturally designed building is surrounded by modern landscaped gardens
Commercial
The modern part of the building is light filled with large windows overlooking the gardens. There is a large fireplace and polished concrete floors. In contrast, the old part of the building has antique furniture and has a darker and cosier feel. There is also an undercover area out the front which would be nice on a warm day

We were seated straight away and given the tasting sheet to read whilst the cellar door assistant finished serving the previous group
Excellent knowledge of the wines, region and vineyard
The cellar door assistant was efficient and knowledgeable and was able to give us a clear description of the wines and provide us the tastings that went with the wines. She also happily described the way the cellar door was built and now operated

The tasting is conducted whilst seated
The full flight tasting was conducted as a "side by side" tasting with the wines divided into two brackets. We found this very interesting, being able to taste two styles of similar wine side by side. We were also given nuts, cheese and Hungarian salami with a couple of the tasting pairs, which made the tasting more of an experience
