To "Wine about": Tasting room is quite small and could get quite tight with too many people

There is plenty of gravel parking, however the site also has a restaurant and café so it may get quite busy around lunchtime
Reminded us of a modern Italian villa with towers and ornate steel detailing.  Surrounded by beautiful lawns and a sculptural vegetable garden

Small, unique tasting room that is laid out unlike anything else we had seen in the region.  There is a tall tasting table in the middle of the room with stools around it, so you can sit or stand, but noticed that by sitting it was a little harder to reach the shared spittoon in the middle of the table.  It was very dark in tone with cool lighting above the table.  The room doubles as a cellar so was also quite cool in temperature

Bistro on site.  We did not dine here but the ambiance with the beautiful open fire and couches and hairy blankets scattered around the room had a really nice feel

There is a winery dog that roams around outside
We really enjoyed our experience here.  The winemaker came in to speak to us and given you are sitting directly across from the other people on the table you tended to have some good conversations during the tasting.  We do wonder how the tasting would go with more than 8 people in the room as it is quite a small space, but that is also part of the appeal
