The entrance is well signposted however once you get along the driveway there are two signs; one goes up the hill to the winery and the other leads you to the visiting area. Just follow the wine barrels and you will get to the right place. We drove here from Peso da Regua and while you can take a toll road to get here, we actually went the longer way which was very windy but quite beautiful

There are ample spaces, some in the first open area near the winery and another lot past the winery near the hotel and restaurant

This Quinta is renowned as one of the most beautiful in the Douro. It is set amongst beautiful gardens including a pool for the hotel guests and has amazing views out over the terraced vineyards. Unfortunately we timed our visit on a day when the north of Portugal was engulfed in bushfire smoke, so we weren't able to see the amazing views, but we assure you it is there!!

The tasting room/wine bar sits on a terrace cut into the hill below the museum and the hotel. The tasting room is modern with polished floorboards and display shelves. There are tasting tables and chairs around the room as well as an outdoor seating area for nice days. There is also a window from the tasting room that looks into the barrel room

The basic tour does not include a tasting but you can upgrade your tour to include 3 wines of varying levels. You can also do tastings by the glass without reservation however those who do make reservations will take precedence

The tasting room/wine bar offers a tapas menu and there is also an exceptional restaurant on site, "Conceitus", which serves degustation menus matched with Quinta Nova wines. We had a delicious lunch here

There is a carefully curated wine museum on site which you visit on the tour which is interesting. There is also a beautiful little chapel that is worth a visit and some vineyard walks that you are able to do
