There are a huge number of gravel car spaces at this cellar door, but it is an historical tourist attraction with a large restaurant and other attractions so on busy weekends the car park may be quite full

The tasting room is in one building to the side of the complex. There are beautiful historic gardens to walk around (tour fee applies) and a museum about Dame Nellie Melba (the famous former owner of the estate)

The tasting room is very modern inside with a long, high tasting bench down the centre of the room. polished concrete floors and wood and metal furnishings. There are large windows looking over the hedged lawn area to one side and to the homestead that now serves as a restaurant on the other

Excellent knowledge of the wines and interesting method of running though the tasting, with side by side comparisons, which made us discuss the wine probably more that we otherwise would have

The restaurant on site is quite lovely with windows looking out over the gardens. Our lunch was very delicious, well prepared and nicely presented. The tasting room also offers small snacks and tasting platters
