Approximately a 20 minute walk (or a short drive) from the centre of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia. There is a footpath along the edge of the paved road if you choose to walk

There are a number of spaces on the road just past the front gate

The visitors centre is a very grand building set in the original grounds of the winery and the original family home. The tour takes your through the lovely gardens and old winery building now used as a function centre

The tasting room is often referred to as the cathedral of cava, and it's easy to see why with huge cathedral like ceilings and eloborate stained glass windows, tiled floor and booth seating for tasting

Our tour guide was fantastic. He had a great knowledge of the wines and the history of the winery as he had worked in all aspects prior to becoming a tour guide. You could also tell that he loved his job and the company he worked for

Really friendly and quite humorous, he showed us some of his personal photos and videos of events at the winery to convey the grandueur of the occasions and the history of the family. English, French, Catalan German and Spanish tours are offered as well as Russian by pre- arrangement

This is the oldest family business in Spain and the staff seem very proud and happy to be part of it, a feeling which is passed on to their visitors. If you do decide to do a tour, the 1.3km train ride through the tunnels is like the most fun wine roller coaster ride. Also the tastings are quite generous so we were very happy to have walked to the winery!
