To "Cellarbrate": Beautiful cheeses To "Wine about": Unfriendly staff, hard work to obtain a tasting, portions for sale are quite large which may be a deterrent for weekend visitors How many cheeses did we buy: 4 Suitable for: Couples, Groups, Families Visited August 2009, April 2012 & August 2015 (weekend) |

Unsure, seemed pretty unhappy to be there so hard to gauge!
The lady who served us was not welcoming did not seem to want us to taste many cheeses, notwithstanding that we had indicated upfront that we wanted to buy a number of different styles. It would therefore have been nice to feel like we were welcome to try them (the whole point of a cellar door I would have thought!) but it was like pulling teeth to get a tasting. The lady at the sales counter was slightly more approachable

We have been here nearly every time we come near the region and this was the first time we were really disappointed with the tasting offering (it can get quite busy here which has made past visits less than perfect, however we were the only one's there on this occasion). Perhaps the lady doing the tasting was having a bad day but she certainly did not do the company justice. The lady who served us to buy cheese was a little happier, but still not overly welcoming
