The Verdict
To "Cellarbrate": We note that whilst this is Giant Steps "pop-up" cellar door, it is definitely much more than that! A large range of delicious wines on offer, a great vertical tasting experience, friendly and knowledgeable team and a great indoor and outdoor space. Dom Hidden Gem awarded. To "Wine about": Not necessarily a negative, but something to be aware of, is that as this cellar door is located in town it obviously has more of an urban feel rather than a more traditional vineyard/winery feel or outlook. There is also no dedicated parking, however, there is plenty of nearby street parking How many bottles did we buy: 12 Suitable for: Couples and Small Groups. Visited January 2020 (weekday) |

This cellar door is described as a pop up cellar door but it is certainly much more well equipped than the pop up name would generallly suggest. We particularly enjoyed the vermouth tasting that also included an interactive garden experience.
The plan is to move the cellar door out to the vineyards and they are also looking to start single vineyard tours. We definitely look forward to checking out the new cellar door upon completion |
