The cellar door is 10 minutes from the village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape on a sealed road.  The drive is very interesting, passing the spectacular vineyards where it seems the vines are planted in giant pebbles

We were the only ones there so no wait
The man did not speak English (nor we much French!) so we were not able to judge this
Notwithstanding the language barrier the host tried to help us understand and explained that his family had been working the vineyard since the 13th century
